While strolling through Wal-Mart the other day I noticed this on display.

Here’s a quick tip if you ever experience this problem.  Certain integrated video adapters, usually from Intel, have the ability to rotate the screen with keystrokes.  While it can be handy, most average home users never have the need to switch their display from landscape to portrait, much less upsidedown.  Fixing this problem is as simple as pressing 3 keys, Ctrl-Alt-up arrow.  The other arrows can be used in the same way to rotate in other directions.  Now go and play pranks on your co-workers, but please don’t tell them where you learned this.

It seems as though I spent all that time and money getting my degree only to be a computer janitor. We received several calls about computers running very slow and/or making strange noises. When the machines were opened up this is what I found. I don’t know why some rooms collect more dust than others but these had to be some of the filthiest machines I’ve seen in a while.

All my jailbroken iphone friends can appreciate the humor of this.

I took the plunge and jailbroke my new g3 iphone. I’m not sure how long I’m going to leave it like this. I haven’t had any problems but I don’t really have a good reason to leave it like this. For the record I used pwnage tool 2.02 to take care of the dirty work. I was a little uneasy at first since I’d updated to the 2.0.1 firmware. My first attempt reduced my phone to an ipod touch. The second however was a complete success. I can now run app store apps side by side with cydia/installer apps. About the only fun thing that I can find that I couldn’t do before is applying themes. The picture below is my current first screen. I am using the buuf2 theme for winterboard (a 2.0 version of summerboard) Feel free to comment with any words of wisdom or troubles you’ve encountered.
