Well I’ve gone and done it now. Thursday afternoon instead of driving out to the Henson’s to pick up Kaylee, we collected her at the city park over by the skateboard ramps. Ashton thought these ramps were the coolest. I thought I was going to be the coolest dad ever and ride down the half pipe. Well, I’m not cool and I didn’t even ride down. What I did was more of a swish thud. When i peeled myself off the ramp I was kind of sore and shaken, but generally ok. I had no idea the damage I had done to myself. I’m the guy whose never broken a single bone or even gotten more than a few bumps or bruises. Don’t think that I was one of those kids that never did anything outside. I was constantly falling off my bike or out of trees, but strangely enough I never broke anything.
After showing my awesome skateboarding skills off it was time for me to go to the gate and collect parking money. For all those Billie fans that have much more money than I do, have the ability to pay $10 and park in the fence right behind the home stands. I’m the lucky fella that gets to collect this money. While at my post I realized that my wrist had starting hurting pretty bad and it was next to impossible to move it. This is not normally
a good sign. I suffered until Lou showed up to collect me. I told her again how much pain I was in. She told me it would be a good idea to buy a wrap for my wrist to help keep it still and reduce swelling. I could do that OR I could go buy a taco for supper. It was already past 8 and I hadn’t eaten since lunch. There was no doubt in my mind what I wanted. I went for the taco. Needless to say Lou wasn’t to happy, but my tummy was.
So here it is 2 days later and my wrist is feeling much better. Personally I think it was the taco.
