Everyone needs to run in fear. Mothers grab your small children. The horrible monster is back. Tickle me Elmo has returned. He was not satisfied with the fist fights he caused when he first appeared back in 1996. He needed to seek revenge on all those half crazed holiday shoppers. This new version seems to be moving from kids toy to adult collectable. I really don't see how any kid would enjoy this much past the "new toy" excitement. Ashton owns 3 different Elmo's one of which is electronic and potties. Other than the few giggles he gives it when Elmo "goes", he lets it lay lifeless burried in a box of toys. I believe he does this because of the lack of "huggability" that this Elmo has. He has a hard plastic abdomen that is covered with a thin layer of red Elmo fuzz. The Elmo that gets the most attention from ashton is the plain ole plush version which even I like to squeeze! The new TMX as fisher-price has called him is similarly hard and plastic and difiicult to cuddle. I think its supper cool that robotic technology has made it to kids stuff, but I hate to see the standard issue plush dissappear.
